Skill Development Centre
Empowering the Future: The Centre for Skills Development

Bridging the Gap
Gujarat’s rapid industrial growth, particularly in the burgeoning Bharuch industrial hub, has created a significant demand-supply gap for skilled manpower across sectors like chemicals, logistics, and manufacturing.
Meghmani Foundation identified that many local youth remain unemployed due to a lack of adequate infrastructure for technical training.
By establishing this centre, the Foundation aims to bridge this skills gap, enhancing the technical competence and employability of the industrial workforce to drive regional economic prosperity..

Industry-Ready Manpower
The upcoming Meghmani Centre for Skills Development is a large-scale project situated on 9,665.5 square metres of land in Eksal village, within the PCPIR region of Dahej.
With an estimated total investment of ₹39.35 crore, this state-of-the-art facility is designed to serve 653 villages across eight talukas in Bharuch. The centre will offer a diverse range of courses, from traditional engineering trades like Fitter and Electrician to modern specialisations such as Industrial Automation and Artificial Intelligence..
Helping the youth learn industry requirements and future skills like Automation and AI.

Working Together
Orchestrated with a phased implementation approach, the initiative involves collaboration with major affiliating agencies, including NCVT, NSDC, and GCVT to ensure national certification standards.
Beyond technical instruction, the centre will provide soft skills grooming, communication training, and real-world industrial exposure through internships.
A dedicated team of staff members will manage the operations, striving to achieve a high-level placement rate for successful candidates within the region’s thriving industrial sectors.
Key Highlights of the Initiative
-
In the Heart of the Industrial Hub
The centre is strategically located in Eksal village within the PCPIR region of Dahej, a declared global hub for petroleum and chemicals.
By situating the facility in close proximity to major factories, the Foundation ensures that training remains deeply integrated with actual industry needs, providing trainees with immediate access to a thriving job market.
-
Comprehensive Trade Specialisations
The centre offers a robust curriculum tailored to modern industrial requirements. Initial trades include Fitter, Chemical Plant Attendant, Electrician, and IT-ITeS, with advanced courses in Fire Technology and Logistics added in subsequent phases.
This breadth of choice allows local youth to pursue diverse career paths that align with the evolving economic landscape of Gujarat.
-
Future-Ready Technology Integration
Beyond traditional vocational training, the facility prioritises cutting-edge domains such as Industrial Automation, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
By equipping candidates with these advanced skills, the Meghmani Foundation ensures the local workforce remains resilient and competitive in an increasingly digital industrial environment, transforming the community into a centre for innovation and technological excellence.
-
Inclusive Social Empowerment
A core goal of the centre is to uplift members of local disadvantaged groups, including women, school dropouts, and persons with disabilities, within its first three years.
By offering specialised short-term courses and promoting entrepreneurship, the initiative aims to foster grassroots self-reliance, ensuring that industrial progress benefits the most vulnerable sections of society.
-
Modern, Futuristic, and Holistic Infrastructure
The ₹29.99 crore civil project features a multi-storied facility designed for a comprehensive learning experience. It includes specialized workshops, classrooms, a computer lab, and a library.
The campus will have dedicated residential facilities and dormitories, ensuring that trainees and faculty from distant villages have the necessary logistical support to participate in long-term programmes.
-
Results-Driven Employment Support
The initiative is committed to delivering tangible outcomes, targeting the training of 800 youth by 2028 with a minimum 80% placement rate.
Through a dedicated placement coordinator and active liaison with regional employers, the centre bridges the gap between certification and a career, offering post-placement mentorship to help youth successfully transition into the industrial workforce.
